With smartphone sales on the rise with no signs of slowing down, many people are walking around with tiny, powerful devices without a clue as to how to use them. This site is for the mobile newcomer and the casual mobile user. I want people to realize that they can do so much more than talk, text and email.
I can honestly say that I can’t live without my iPhone or iPad. It’s become my personal scheduler, reminder, navigator, photographer, disc jockey, weather reporter, news reporter, tutor, library and yes, even babysitter. And it all starts with the apps.
Mobile apps are increasing like wildfire. Just like there are many brands of cereals to choose from, there are many apps that perform similar functions offered at different price points. It can be quite overwhelming and time consuming to sift through them all. AppHipMom will showcase my favorite apps and provide tips to help you navigate your device.
Since I am not a programmer or app developer, I’ll leave it to the technical pros to discuss topics like jailbreaking and Cydia.
This site is focused mainly on the iPhone and iPad, but many of my favorite apps can also be found on Android and Blackberry devices.
