Why AppHipMom loves it: easily share smart phone videos privately
I love recording videos of my children’s activities whether it be a school play, hockey game or track meet and it gives me pleasure in sharing it with parents who weren’t able to attend. However, the process to share the video is so painful that it completely turns me off. Thankfully, Joya Video has come to the rescue of busy moms and dads everywhere with their app that lets you share videos of any length taken from your smart device in a snap.
If you’ve ever tried to send a video via email you’ll know that unless it’s super duper short, it’s often not possible to do. Then you find yourself resorting to posting on YouTube or Vimeo, which isn’t so bad, but it takes time to familiarize yourself and set up accounts if you don’t already have one. Then you have to worry about whether the recipients can view the video privately and easily.
What’s terrific is that you don’t need to be technically savvy to use Joya and neither do any of your friends and family. It’s really that simple to use. The app will display all the videos on your camera roll and you simply tap to select the video you like to share. You can then select the recipient(s) from your list of contacts or enter new ones, hit send and consider yourself done. There’s no size limit on videos, so send the entire 2 hour musical to Grandma if you must. Just be sure to use wi-fi and not data when sending the videos.
Recipients will receive an email or text message with a private link to the video you shared. They don’t have to register or download anything to watch the video. All they need to do is click the link to view the video. I love that Joya will even tell you who has seen your videos.
Thank you Joya Video for solving this problem for me. Can’t believe this app is free!
