Why AppHipMom loves it: Full content newspaper on steroids

I used to wake up and look forward to flipping through the newspaper page by page with a good cup of tea. Since smart devices have taken over my life, I no longer read newspapers or even watch the news on tv. Rather, I get my news from Twitter and the internet. But let me tell you that PressReader has changed all that.

The app is like having a copy of the physical newspaper in my hands. I never thought I would say this, but I do miss seeing ads in the newspaper, whether they be concert announcements or upcoming sales. However, PressReader is not just about bringing the paper to digital life. The options are fabulous, from adjusting font size to ease of sharing to a text to speech option where the article is read to you, this is one slick app. Not to mention a large international selection of publications in 54 languages, there’s something for everybody. If your parents or in-laws own a tablet, a subscription to their favourite newspaper back home would make a wonderful Christmas gift (hint, hint).

The best way for you see what I’m talking about is to show you, so check out my iPad video review below.

Thanks to the PressReader team for allowing me take the app on a test run.  All opinions are entirely my own.
